After starring in what seems like a dozen romantic comedies, Dermot Mulroney will finally make the transition to director and helm his own rom-com. After starring in such favorites as My Best Friend’s Wedding, Must Love Dogs, and The Wedding Date, The Hollywood Reporter reports Mulroney will make his directorial debut with the upcoming Love, Wedding, Marriage.
In addition to Mulroney’s involvement, the film has also assembled an impressive cast including Mandy Moore, Twilight’s Kellan Lutz, James Brolin, and Jane Seymour. Principal photography is set to begin in Louisiana in mid-April. Before the film hits theatres, it could experience a name change and be re-titled Keep It Together.
In the film, Moore, who’s last movie was 2007’s License to Wed, will play a newlywed and marriage counselor who is devastated when she finds out that her parents, played by Brolin and Seymour, want a divorce after many successful years of marriage. Moore’s character almost stops at nothing to save her parents’ marriage and as a result, ends up hurting the ones closest to her including her husband played by Lutz.
