Destiny's Child Reunite for one night
After three months of giving a heartfelt farewell performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, which he devoted his whole late night show to, Destiny's Child never can say goodbye.The gig comes on the heels of the group's farewell 2004 tour and album, Destiny Fulfilled.
When the eight-time Grammy winners performed indoors and outdoors, on the Jimmy Kimmel show, to nearly 1,000 mourning fans, which the threesome claimed was their final public concert.
Kelly Rowland hinted at a possible reunion. "You never know," Rowland said. "I think the most beautiful thing is that we're not parting because there were problems. We're parting because we're celebrating each other's growth."Destiny Child announced its split last June.
"Now is the time to pursue our personal goals and solo efforts in earnest," the group said in a statement. "We want to thank all of our fans for their incredible love and support and hope to see you all again as we continue fulfilling our destinies."
For Beyonce Knowles, that means starring opposite Steve Martin in the remake of "The Pink Panther," due in theaters, Feb. 10. Kelly Rowland has a sophomore album coming out on June 13, while Michelle Williams has a new Christian music project that may be out this summer.
Destiny's Child's All Star finale will air on TNT.
