Investigators were back on search looking for the missing woman from Gerogia. Investigators went back to the wooded area on Monday morning in Cleveland County. The missing woman is Kristi Leigh Cornwell who disappeared on Aug. 11.
Cornwell went missing in Blairsville, Georgia, which is an estimated 200 miles from the point of where investigators have been searching on Sunday in Kings Mountain. Cornwell's family said she was out exercising near her parents' home when she went missing. Her boyfriend reported that he was speaking on the phone with her until he had heard a scuffle, followed by the phone going dead. A phone call to "America's Most Wanted" led investigators to a place called Baltic Road in Cleveland County. An anonymous caller gave investigators a tip which detectives say, although Sunday's search led them nowhere, they feel confident about their search.
"We feel good about the area we did search, that there's nothing there. But [we'll] still use some cadaver dogs tomorrow [Monday]," said Dewey Cook from the Cleveland County Emergency Management.
