'Dexter' Star Diagnosed with Cancer

Michael C. Hall is being treated for Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Dexter lead Michael C. Hall has released a statement Wednesday announcing he has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, US Weekly reports. Thankfully, the actor’s cancer is in “complete remission” and he will continue with treatment, Hall’s spokesperson Craig Bankey said.

Hall said he was grateful the disease is “treatable and curable.” He went on to praise his doctors and nurses who have helped him through this difficult time.

US Weekly reports Hall still plans on attending Sunday night’s 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Hall is a nominee for Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Drama Series for his role in the Showtime series . He will be running against fellow nominees Jon Hamm, Hugh Laurie, Bill Paxton and Simon Baker. Hall will be attending the ceremony with his co-star and wife, Jennifer Carpenter.

Bankey also said Hall will return to the Dexter set later this year when production on the fifth season begins.
