DiCaprio Flip-Flops on Marriage, Kids
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio, once known for his anti-romance beliefs, told Parade Magazine that he wants to get married and have children. The actor also told the Associated Press that he's not ready for fatherhood and has no plans for marriage.
Both reports hit the Internet on Wednesday, leaving many to wonder whether or not the Titanic star wants to settle down.
"Ah, how do you answer something like that? So, um, I am being asked to look in the future I suppose quickly. No, I don't have any plan," DiCaprio told the Associated Press while promoting his upcoming film, Body of Lies.
He also said he was not ready to be a father.
DiCaprio also told Parade that he wanted to settle down.
"I want to get married and have children," DiCaprio said. "In saying that, I realize I am contradicting everything I've said before. I absolutely believe in marriage."
DiCaprio, 33, has been in an on-again off-again relationship with 23-year-old Israeli model Bar Refaeli for the past two years.
"What I definitely feel a need for is to make my life about more than just my career. Just last night I was thinking to myself how little of my life has been lived normally and not spent on some far-off movie location," DiCaprio said.
DiCaprio's upcoming film, Body of Lies, also stars Russell Crowe and will be released in theaters Oct. 10.
