Diddy to Appear on "CSI: Miami"

Rap mogul to play prosecutor.

Sean "Diddy" Combs is going to expand his acting credentials by guest starring on two episodes of CSI: Miami.

The Associated Press reports that Combs will play a prosecutor during his stint on the CBS drama, a spin-off of the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The character will spar with David Caruso's Lt. Horatio Crane. Combs's episodes will likely air in mid to late winter, according to CBS.

Combs is not the only rapper to appear on shows in the "CSI" franchise. Nelly has been on CSI: New York this season in a recurring role.

Combs has been flexing his television muscle for some time now. He recently starred in ABC's movie version of A Raisin in the Sun. He played Walter Younger, the role in which he made his Broadway debut, when the play was revived on Broadway.

He also stars in and executive produces two reality shows: Making the Band, on MTV, which created groups like B2K and Danity Kane, and on VH1, I Want to Work for Diddy, where he made his search for a new assistant public.
