Diddy still Diddy

Sean "Diddy" Combs will not be changing his stage name anytime soon.

It has been rumored recently that Diddy, formally P Diddy, Puffy, Puff Daddy, etc, is going to change his name to Sean John. Sean John, which is the name of his clothing line and fragrance line as well as his birth name (Sean John Combs), is not going to be his new name. So don't go changing your I-Tune's artist information yet.

Diddy was recently quoted in British tabloid, The Daily Star, as saying, "I have always evolved and taken a different name each time. Right now I want to be Sean John because that's where I am right now."

This quote is untrue according to Diddy's people who told MTV, "Recent reports of a name change are totally false, he is still Diddy. He is currently in 'Sean John' mode as the upcoming Sean John fashion show is scheduled for February 8 in New York." It seems it all was just a misunderstanding and that Diddy will stay Diddy, at least for now.
