Die Hard Star Being Sued for Breach of Contract

Three production companies have filed a $4 million dollar lawsuit with the star.

Bruce Willis, famous for his roles in Die Hard and The Sixth Sense, is being sued for $4 million, for breach of contract.

According to thehuffingtonpost.com, Willis and his production company, Willis Brother Films, agreed to produce the film, Three Stories About Joan, in which the actor was to direct and star. The lawsuit alleges that the star backed out as director, without notice, violating the agreement.

But Willis's lawyer, Marty Singer, believes the suit was filed "without merit." According to the Canadian Press, Singer says that the companies were supposed to put compensation for the star in an escrow account before the film started, but failed to do so.

"Why would you render your services knowing you're not getting paid?" says Singer. "I've been practicing over thirty years and I can't think of a more frivolous lawsuit that I've ever seen."

Singer added that the star will soon be filing his own suit. The companies that lodge the suit include Foresight Productions, Signature Entertainment Group, and Three Stories Productions.
