Dina Lohan Plans to Be a Soccer Mom on Her New Reality Show

America's most controversial stage mom speaks up.

Talking about her new reality show, Living Lohan (E!), Dina Lohan says in a TV Guide interview, "I just want to get the message across that we are a normal family."

And she's certainly trying to: Lindsay and the family father, Michael Douglas Lohan, Sr., will not be featured on the show. "I told Lindsay I don't want her on the show right now. Doing reality TV would almost be taking a step backward as far as her career goes."

So instead, the show will focus on the "good kids," especially Lindsay's 14-year-old sister, Ali. She'll be seen living temporarily in Las Vegas's Palms Hotel with her mom as she attempts to record her new album.

As for the dad, he will certainly be MIA from the show. Michael Sr., a former Wall Street broker, has been known in the Lohan media frenzy for his rehab and jail stints. He and Dina are divorced, and at one point, he was only allowed phone visitations with the kids. He now can see them once a week.

"We kept personal family issues with their dad off-limits," says Dina. "No one wants to bash anyone. So we didn't go there."

In addition, Dina wants this show to clear her tainted partygoer mom image. "I have never partied with Lindsay," she insists. She says that other managers who go to clubs with their kids are not reported on immediately; "I'm a female, so I'm targeted."

And to defend herself, the show will show the mom with Ali in Vegas, home in Long Island with 20-year-old son, Michael, who TV Guide says is attending college on an academic scholarship, and Cody, 11, with his soccer buddies.

"I did this [show] to defuse the rumors about my family," Dina says. "The media has just been so horrific to us over the past two years."
