DJ AM Dead at Age 36

DJ AM, born Adam Goldstein, was reportedly found dead in his apartment in New York City on Friday.

According to Just Jared, the popular DJ, 36, was found dead after he had not been seen for days. Finally, a friend visited his apartment to check on him on Friday. TMZ released information about the scene, adding that when the friend heard no answer behind the door, police were called in to break down the door.

Neon Limelight reports that drug paraphernalia was reportedly found in the apartment, but the cause of DJ AM's death is not yet certain. The incident occurred less than a year after he and musician Travis Barker escaped death in a plane crash. Four people died in the accident in South Carolina.
