DJ AM Released from the Hospital

DJ is released from hospital, but still in mourning over lost friends.

Just a short week after being admitted to the hospital with critical burn injuries from a plane crash that killed four others, DJ AM is released from the hospital, reports nydailynews.com.

AM's rep made the announcement Friday, saying that though the musician is saddened by the event, he has been thankful for friends and fans who have wished him well. "While [AM] is deeply saddened by the events he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends world wide."

The rep went on to say that AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, is still in mourning over the loss of friends Chris Baker and Charles Still, who were killed in the crash, and called for the respect of his privacy during the upcoming road to recovery.

"We ask that you continue to respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends."

There is also good word on Travis Barker, the crash's only other survivor, who was also left in critical condition.

While the Blink 182 drummer is still at Doctors Hospital in Ga., he is expected to make a full recovery.

Happy news for all the well wishing friends, family, and fans who have been hoping for the best since the Friday night crash.
