DMX released from jail

After two postponements, one failure to appear and $250,000 bail, the rapper has another court date set. Here's hoping he shows up this time.

DMX is free after a night behind bars.

The 35-year-old rapper had an arrest warrant issued in his named after he failed to appear in court to answer a host of driving problems, including unsafe driving, driving without a license and speeding.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was reportedly ill for his last court date, but after two previous postponements, City Judge Barbara Leak had enough.

He served 70 days in jail last year for parole violation when he posed as a federal agent and crashed his SUV through a security gate at JFK International Airport.

And things aren't looking up for the rapper. DMX was recently cited for carrying a concealed handgun, when police in Scottsdale, Ariz., saw him put a gun under the front seat of his convertible. He's due back in City Court on those charges later this month.
