Bittersweet success for filmmakers with the death of their subject, John Hughes.

The title of the film is from the Simple Minds pop song featured in John Hughes movie, "The Breakfast Club," "Don't You Forget About Me," was picked up the day after Hughes death last week by Alliance Films of Montreal.

Now ready for an international release the 75-minute film about a road trip in which Austin-Sadowski and his producers Kari Hollend, Mike Facciolo and Lenny Panzer go to Illinois to find screenwriter, farmer, and recluse John Hughes.

Hughes best known for "The Breakfast Club," "Sixteen Candles," and "Weird Science" quit directing after 1991s "Curly Sue." He continued to write screenplays under the name Edmond Dantes.

Austin-Sadowski, 31, an actor best known for his role in the "Power Rangers: S.P.D." TV series said "[Hughes] inspired me as a person, going through an awkward adolescence, as many people do." Some interviews in the film consist of Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Mia Sara, Kelly LeBrock and Andrew McCarthy. Molly Ringwald, best known from Hughes films, did not take part in the venture.

Made before Hughes death Austin-Sadowski hoped his film would boost interest in the director's work. "He took affairs of the heart very seriously, and no other director gave teenagers that sort of treatment at that time."Sources: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/8194967.stm
