Once renowned American Idol judge Simon Cowell revealed his plans to bring his new talent contest the X-Factor to the US, Americans were eager to learn about the popular British show and its success across the pond. As seen in American Idol, the panel of judges is perhaps the most important element that has lead to the show’s overall unprecedented success. Therefore, it wasn’t long before rumors spread of the potential judges already in negotiation to join Cowell on the X-Factor.

The latest news is that singing superstar Lady Gaga is the number one choice to fill the single female spot on the judges’ panel. After being let go from Idol this past year, Paula Abdul has already been rumored to be named a front runner for the job. If Lady Gaga accepts Cowell’s offer, this will certainly mean bad news for Abdul.
