The show is over for Fox's Dollhouse, long overdue after a second-season pickup despite low ratings.

The show's poor performance in the November sweep was the straw that broke the camel's back. Not even the rating help from DVR viewing could save it from fate.

But producer Joss Whedon promises to give the sci-fi series, staring Eliza Dushku as a woman who gets implanted false memories to carry-out various missions, a proper burial. The show is currently filming its 11th episode with plans to see through its 13-episode order. Whedon reportedly has a 'big finale' in store.

The only problem: who will be around to see it?

In other news, Fox has picked up the high-school drama hit Glee for a full season
