Joss Whedon's new show finds audience

Fox's new show "Dollhouse" attracted 4.7 million viewers Friday.

According to Entertainment Weekly, this is a decent jump over the lead-in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," which only attracted 3.7 viewers.

While its total audience is not enough to turn heads, what "Dollhouse" accomplished amongst demographics was noteworthy. It doubled viewership levels among women versus "Chronicles" and helped Fox finish in second place among adults 18-34 and first place across key male demographics, according to EW.

Since Fridays normally pull in weak numbers, fans of the show can expect it to last longer than just a few episodes.

"Dollhouse" will continue to follow "Chronicles" on Fridays until its season ends, which will then be replaced by the series ending six episodes of "Prison Break."
