Dolly Parton's Breasts Are a Pain in Her Back
Country singer-songwriter Dolly Parton has decided to postpone an upcoming North American tour, Reuters reports, because doctors have advised her to rest for six to eight weeks after her large breasts have caused her back pain.
Parton, 62, said in a statement on Monday, "Hey, you try wagging these puppies around a while and see if you don't have back problems."
The tour was supposed to begin February 28 in Minneapolis, two days after her new country album, Backwoods Barbie, was released, but Parton now hopes to start touring in late-April.
With her big hair and sizable bust, Parton is seemingly "built" to be the object of jokes-including her own. Last year, she accepted a songwriters award in New York, where she noted that she's been known for two things throughout her career. "I'm talking about my music and my lyrics," she said.
Parton is, in fact, an accomplished artist with a 40-year career behind her. She is also a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
