Don Cheadle Signs TV Production Deal
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Don Cheadle, 44, has signed a two-year deal with Universal Media Studios, which is expected to be announced today during NBC's portion of the winter Television Critics Assn. press tour.
Cheadle's production company, Crescendo Prods., will develop a series of TV projects for the studio.
Crescendo Prods. was founded in 2005 and has produced such films as Traitor, the documentary Darfur Now, and is currently developing a biography of jazz musician Miles Davis.
Cheadle was a producer of the Oscar-winning film, Crash, and is the executive producer of the 2008 Starz/Lionsgate series, Crash, which is based on the film.
Cheadle was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in the film, Hotel Rwanda, and is currently starring in the movie, Hotel for Dogs, which will be in theaters on Friday.
