Donny Osmond wins "Dancing With the Stars"

Donny Osmond and partner Kym Johnson walked away with the prize for the ninth season of the dance competition.

Former child-star Donny Osmond became the ninth winner of the television show "Dancing With the Stars," and at 52, was the oldest winner of the show.

Even though he had been dancing on a broken toe for the past few weeks, Osmond managed to come out on top, according to Reuters. He defeated competitors Mya and Kelly Osbourne with his performance of an Argentine Tango with partner Kym Johnson.

CNN.com reported that Osmond spoke about the physically demanding aspect of the show saying, "There are muscles I didn't know I had that hurt." The star also said he lost 20 lbs during the show. Although Osmond is proud of himself for winning, he credits his triumph to his partner, who danced all the way to the top with him.

The season finale had 19.2 million viewers on Tuesday, which was a low number for the competition, but "Dancing With the Stars" still is one of the top shows in US Television.
