Dr. Jones Is Back for Number Four!

New installment of Indiana Jones will be released May 22.

'Tis the season for revisiting and appending epic movies of the past.

Let's see, there's the new Rambo, the new Rocky, the new Romero zombie film, etc.

But one of the most exciting upcoming throwbacks is the new installment of Indiana Jones! The Indiana Jones trilogy is one of the most beloved in cinema history since the first installment, Raiders of the Lost Ark, which came out in 1981. With Spielberg directing and George Lucas as producer, the film was an inevitable success. Temple of Doom followed in 1984, and The Last Crusade, which appeared in 1989, left fans with quite an ending.

For the purpose of avoiding spoilers I will refrain from mentioning that ending, but let's just say it opened the possibility of another movie without making it mandatory. Let's also say that if you haven't seen them, you need to go out and rent these movies immediately. Because now, almost 20 years later, Spielberg, Lucas, and star Harrison Ford are giving it another whirl.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will open on May 22, with its first official trailer debuting on Good Morning America at 8:00 p.m. ... tonight!

Aside from Harrison Ford as our beloved Indy, or Dr. Jones, the film also stars Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen from Raiders, and Shia LeBoeuf, who plays the necessary tag-along character once played by Jonathan Quan of Goonies fame. LeBoeuf's character, however, may or may not be Indy's son. After all, like Harrison Ford, Dr. Jones has grown older. And he's had many a passionate love affair in his day.
