Nadya Suleman's doctor is set to appear at a hearing for the medical board

Nadya Suleman’s fertility doctor was accused of negligence, reported Times Online.

Dr. Michael Kamrava has been accused by a complaint filed by the California Medical Board of acting beyond reasonable judgment when he helped Suleman, the “Octomom,” conceive octuplets.

The 34-year-old mother received much media attention when her eight children birth was publicized.

After the birth Kamrava’s West Coast IVF Clinic was highly criticized by medical officials.

The complaint was filed by Barbara Johnston, executive director of the medical board, who claims Kamrava should have referred Suleman to a mental health professional.

Babies who are part of a multiple birth are more likely to have long term health problems.

The American Society of Reproductive Medicine’s guideline states that a woman Suleman’s age should not have more than two embryos implanted.

In September the Society of Reproductive Medicine expelled Kamrava but since his medical license was not affected he is still allowed to treat patients.
