The sophomore album for rapper Drake, Take Care, debuted at the top of the Billboard album charts, selling 631,000 copies according to SoundScan numbers, although that might be a slight disappointment.

According to Billboard, industry projections put it at selling between 675,000 and 700,000 copies. Still, it had the third highest number of copies sold in a single week this year, falling behind Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, which sold 1 million copies, and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV, which sold 964,000.

When Drake got the news Tuesday night, he took to Twitter to thank his fans. "I can't even find the words to express my appreciation...‘thank you and I owe you’ is all that comes to mind...truly,” he wrote.

Pop Crush reports that Drake is already set to move onto his third album. “I started writing the intro to my next project last night. I found the sample and I started piecing together the story of where I’m at in my life,” he told a radio station in Tampa.

As for the rest of the Billboard top ten, Michael Bublé remained at number two with Christmas, according to MTV News. Adele’s 21 stayed on the charts at number three, while Concerto: One Night in Central Park by Andrea Bocelli debuted at number four.

Justin Bieber’s own holiday album, Under The Mistletoe, came in at number five and Glee: The Music, the Christmas Album, Vol. 2 came in at number six. The rest of the top ten was made up of the Now 40 compilation, Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto, the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 soundtrack and Someone To Watch Over Me by Susan Boyle. Meanwhile, the independent debut by rapper Mac Miller, which debuted at number one last week, fell all the way to number 24.
