DreamWorks Gets the Rights to 'Eat, Sleep, Poop'

DreamWorks has nabbed the rights to Scott W. Cohen's how-to book Eat, Sleep, Poop: A Common Sense Guide to Your Baby's First Year.

The book, to be released on March 30, is the first in a series of humorous advice books chronicling Cohen's experiences in raising his own child, which didn't always match up with his knowledge as a pediatrician. Cohen struck a deal to get his book adapted to film while having a business lunch with Parkes/MacDonald executive Anson Avellar.

The script will be written by Matt Allen and Caleb Wilson, writers of the Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn comedy Four Christmases, which wasn't exactly warmly received by critics two years ago. Eat, Sleep, Poop will, of course, be given a comedic adaptation, the first in a development fund deal struck between DreamWorks and publisher Parkes/MacDonald with Imagenation Abu Dhabi.

Insert your own punny joke here about how crappy this movie could turn out.
