Duchovny and Leoni Call It Quits

The couple is separated after 11 years of marriage.

Californication star David Duchovny and wife Tea Leoni have separated, report Access Hollywood and People.

A representative for the actors told People, "In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months."

The only reason they waited this long to make it official, the rep continued, is that, "The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children."

This marks the end of the couple's 11-year marriage, as they said, "I do," in 1997. Since then, they have had two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and Kyd, 6.

Speculations about the couple's lives have been flying since August when Duchovny released a statement to Access Hollywood saying he was entering rehab for sex addiction.

"I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction," Duchovny said in the statement. "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

Duchovny's lawyer, Larry Stein, recently told Access Hollywood that the actor "successfully" completed rehab for sex addiction before being released from a facility last week.

Surprisingly, the couple was reportedly spotted together shortly after, at the Czech Street Festival in Manhattan, with things looking "normal."

Ivana Kovarova, a volunteer at this year's festival, told People, "They looked like a normal family - they were just talking to each other and eating."
