Duchovny Sues Daily Mail
Actor and recovering sex addict David Duchovny has followed through on his promise to sue the Daily Mail, based out of Britain, over an article in which the publication wrote that he was dating his tennis coach.
The X-Files star recently announced that he was separating from his wife, Tea Leoni. The couple said they had split before Duchovny was admitted to sex rehab.
Duchovny claims that he was defamed by what the editors of the paper published. The particulars were that Duchovny had a "full-blown sexual affair" with Edit Pakay, 28. Pakay soon denied the story.
The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Duchovny's lawyer says, "The story falsely alleges that Duchovny sought out Ms. Pakay to be his tennis instructor and that the 'professional relationship' . . . quickly turned into a love match."
According to TMZ.com, Duchovny is seeking over $1 million in damages.
