Brian Regan is one of the few comedians that can get an audience laughing while keeping clean. In his DVD "Standing Up," Regan calls to mind comic great Jerry Seinfeld in his ability to turn mundane, ordinary things into something hilarious. No crude language or sexual references, just good, clean fun with the help of amusing facial expressions and a gift for comic delivery. Check out a witty stand-up routine the whole family can enjoy!
From the writers of "Seinfeld," "Live Free or Die" is adult humor at its best. Rugged, a clueless, aspiring criminal, busies himself with petty crimes until he runs into an old acquaintance, who has returned to run a business he inherited from his father. Then Rugged tries to force his way into the family business until an emotionally unstable cop starts investigating.
"Fear Factor" host Joe Rogan has another job -- standup comedian. In "Joe Rogan Live," he brings his energetic, honest, and sometimes offensive act to the Tempe Improv comedy club. He says what everyone is thinking, but no one wants to say. And he says it better. A shocking but hilarious performance, pick this one up (as long as you're not easily offended!)
"Daniel Tosh: Completely Serious" is a hilarious look at one of comedy's up and coming stars, and one of the most popular acts on college campuses. Although he doesn't shy away from offensive or gross humor, he also has his share of smart, witty material. DVD features include uncensored material not shown on TV, a post-show question and answer session with Tosh himself, and Comedy Central's alternate clean, edited version.
"Starter for 10" is a British comedy from the producers of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." Brian is a working class Brit who heads to Bristol University in the 1980's. Despite being intelligent enough to secure a spot on the campus quiz team, Brian lacks the street smarts of his friend Spencer. While preparing for the competition, Brian falls for a girl, tries to save his friendship with Spencer, and deals with the concerns every college student deals with, regardless of where they live. The film is enhanced with music from The Smiths, New Order, and The Cure.
