Final 24 is a Biography Channel documentary series that unlocks "hidden secrets, psychological flaws and events that result in the tragic deaths of global icons." It describes the fragility of life, from childhood to the moment their life was snuffed out. A very hard hitting series, it is interesting to find out little known facts about the celebrities, as well as get an in depth look at how the died, and why. Below are a few of the episodes which have recently come out on DVD.
Gianni Versace: This one is about Gianni Versace, the iconic fashion designer who was shot to death on July 15, 1997. Andrew Cunanan shot Versace because of a grudge that lasted for seven years, and 24 Hours does a wonderful job memorializing Versace's life before his tragic death.
Janis Joplin: Known as the "queen of rock and roll," the singer tragically died at the tender age of 27 thanks to her addiction to drugs. Heroin finally silenced her voice, but thanks to interviews, archived footage, and reenactments, 24 Hours captures and brings her voice back to life one more time.
Nicole Brown-Simpson: The ex-wife of O.J. Simpson was murdered back in 1994, and to this day no one has been convicted for her death. The trial made headlines when O.J. was accused, but what really happened during her last 24 hours of life? This episode explores the facts and fictions of that fateful night.
Keith Moon: The rock star drummer for The Who was living high on his band's successful music. However, the party abruptly ended on September 6, 1978. 24 Hours uses interviews, reenactments, and footage of the musician to show the last day of music and life for Moon.
Very impressive investigating and remarkable reenactments bring all of their lives and deaths to a level that can be appreciated and understood. A great gift idea for anybody that loves celebrities or for history buffs.
