DVDs are a great gift anytime of the year, so why not saddle up and pile them on into that sweet entertainment setup you got at home? The holidays are festive and cheery, ringing in the new year, so watching something sweet and cuddly will be sure to put a warm and happy smile on your child's face along with the rest of the family as you'll all be beaming for sure.

The 1979 classic stop-motion animation, Jack Frost, is a classic winter tale fostering all dichotomies of life. For viewers 5 and older, everyone will be hooked. Jack Frost glows with a surreal animated splendor and decadence that all will hop on board with his youthful pixies of sprite. The DVD has tons of features with crafty creations, sing-alongs, footage and much more.

ABC's brand spanking glittery show, Pushing Daisies, is available on DVD, sprinkling its magic upon us. It's upbeat and wholesome and is one of those shows that knocks the chip off your shoulder and lights you up like a Christmas tree. Pushing Daisies will be sure to amuse you with its clever slew of schemes as it looks to the fantastical realm to entertain us. The premise is simple, as a young do-gooder has a magical touch to revive the dead. By reanimating them, he learns of how they died, solves the murder mystery and collects the reward. Easy and simple, which will be sure to please the whole family with its wit and quirks.

Annie Leibovitz's photographic life is tracked through the new DVD, Life Through a Lens. The DVD shows the arc of her life through her aspirations, pictures, artistry and the entire span of her career. It's a documentary highlighted by interviews that provide commentary on one of the most influential visual artists.

The Flintstones is an American classic cartoon beloved by all. Now they've got a new DVD hitting shelves entitled The Man Called Flintstone. It's digitally updated from 1966 and will no doubt be a winner for all. Yabba-dabba-doo, it's surely a treat for you. Another classic cartoon wonder is, of course, Yogi Bear. Restored from 1964, he's back and is his jolly self in the reworked movie, Hey There, It's Yogi Bear.

And finally, the last hoorah, Looney Tunes released another Golden Collection (this time volume 6), with 15 cartoons dating back to World War II. The heavily anticipated sixth volume is a crowd pleaser with restored cartoons that are fully re-mastered.

These lighthearted bundles of joy will make great gifts and be sure to have a cozy spot in your DVD collection. Fans of these classic and modern favorites will go nuts and jump crazily to have these for ringing in the new year.
