Early Grammy Winners; Gaga and Swift Take Home Two

Awards given out before the cameras even turned on for the awards show.

Often times when award shows can’t fit the whole show into the allotted time, they will award winners off camera.

Such has already been reported to be the case for the 2010 Grammys.

Before the show Sunday night, during its pre-show telecast Lady Gaga won two awards, for Best Dance Recording for her song “Poker Face”, and Best Electronic/Dance Album for her debut album, The Fame.

Taylor Swift also won two early awards, both for Female Country Vocal and Country Song, both for the song “White Horse”.

As she accepted she said, "This my first Grammy, you guys! This is a Grammy. I live in awe of the people that I was nominated against in this category."

Following its big Oscar wins for best original score and song last year, hit movie Slumdog Millionaire won Grammys for best compilation album and best song written for a motion picture or television.

Composer Michael Giacchino won for best score soundtrack for the Disney/Pixar film Up as well as best instrumental composition for "Married Life," a track from the movie.

Neil Young, who was awarded Friday as the Grammys' MusiCares Person of the Year on Friday, won as an art director for best boxed or special limited edition package for "Neil Young Archives Vol. 1 (1963-1972)" along with Gary Burden and Jenice Heo.

Other early winners included Imogen Heap who took home a Grammy for best engineered album for her album Ellipse.

David Guetta won for best re-mixed recording for "When Love Takes Over." An excited Guetta accepted his award by saying, "I got five nominations so it means that finally the DJ culture and the dance culture is growing in America, so thank you for seeing that."
