Edyta Leaving? Say It Isn't So!

My husband will be devastated by this news. Edyta Sliwinska, famous for wearing as few clothes as possible on her smoking hot body as much as for her dancing skill, is leaving Dancing With The Stars. Men all over America are in mourning today.

Once men discovered that these incredible women show lots of skin, they didn't whine any more when their wives insisted on watching the popular ballroom dancing program on TV.

My husband is like a lot of hubbies and boyfriends out there. I once heard him discussing the sidearem used to shoot Tommy Buck by Timothy Olyphant as Raylan Givens in Justified. (A 9mm SIG-Sauer P226 in case you're interested). Then, in the next breath, he and his buddies were holding forth on the finer points of samba rolls and why jive flicks shouldn't be confused with swing kicks.

Biological Imperative

We women understand Edyta's stated reason that she "wants to concentrate on starting a family." (With her absolutely gorgeous husband Alec Mazo, another DWTS alum.) Other online gossip reported that she was in disagreement with the DWTS powers-that-be. As with most controversies, there's probably some truth to each claim.

Edyta has danced longer than anyone on the show, and, poor dear, has had her share of men with two left feet. Through it all, she has smiled and cheered on her less-than-stellar partners.

I guess it's official since she posted to her Facebook page: "After 10 seasons I felt like it's time to think about my future. I'm pursuing my education and looking forward to other projects that perhaps you will hear about, but my main goal is to finish my degree and start building a family."

As Edyta dances into the sunset, the men in America will have to console themselves with the other hip-shaking, scantily-clad dancers.

We women can just rise above all that and focus on the real talent on the dance floor: Tony Dovolani and the other guys with bronzed bodies and rippling muscles on Dancing With the Stars.
