Elisabeth Hasselbeck Is Not Leaving "The View"

Despite what you may be hearing these days, Elisabeth Hasselbeck is not set to leave the daytime talk show, The View, for a position on Fox News, reports Us Magazine.

In a statement issued Thursday, Hasselbeck's agent said that even though the conservative has a "great relationship with Fox News," the rumors are untrue.

"While Elisabeth [Hasselbeck] has a great relationship with Fox News, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that she is leaving The View."

Her agent continued, "Elisabeth is passionate in her beliefs and enjoys being a part of this dynamic group of women and engaging in daily conversations."

The View's executive publicity director said much the same thing, adding that Hasselbeck was a "vital" member of the show.

"Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie, executive producers of The View, consider Elisabeth to be vital to the program."

So viewers need not worry, the McCain and Palin supporter will continue to get into heated debates with her cohosts for at least a while longer.
