Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has been hoping to get Brad Pitt’s Malibu mansion and now it looks like she got her wish. DeGeneres and wife, Arrested Development star Portia De Rossi, purchased the $12 million home Friday.

Perez Hilton first reported that DeGeneres had her eye on the place last month after it was revealed that they were selling their home.

According to People, DeGeneres’ current home cost $49 million and had 15,000 square-feet of interior space. Pitt’s home is much smaller, coming in at just 4,000 square-feet. Still, it has private beach access, a pool, a tennis court and lush gardens. Plus, the property actually includes two separate houses.

The house was purchased by Pitt shortly after he split from Jennifer Aniston, notes RTTNews. It was originally listed at $14.5 million.

DeGeneres’ $49 million home was featured in Architectural Digest in October. In the interview with the magazine, DeGeneres revealed a love for interior design, noting that “The first thing I did when I made money was buy a house.”

Although there was no reason reported for Pitt’s decision to sell the house, it might have been that his family with Angelina Jolie might have just outgrown the four bedroom, four bathroom property.
