Ellen Sets a Wedding Date with Pink Diamonds

According to People.com, daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres told the press that she and Portia de Rossi have set a wedding date.

Walking the red carpet at the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre, de Rossi wore a Neil Lane ring, which was reportedly given by DeGeneres. It featured a marquis cut diamond set with pink diamonds.

People.com says they are still preparing "the dream wedding," which DeGeneres says "is very stressful. It is crazy. My gardener is now invited."

The 50-year-old, four-time Emmy winner said that only "incredible people" would perform, and parts of the wedding will be aired on her talk show. Not revealing other large details, Degeneres says, "I can't wait to be married. I feel like it is long overdue.

"And I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous like we all don't have the same rights."

Degeneres began dating the 35-year-old actress in 2004. They revealed their plans to marry back in May, just after the California Supreme Court ruled the previous ban on gay marriages as unconstitutional.
