Elton John Cleans Closet
Money from the sale will go toward AIDS charities.
Sir Elton John cleaned out his closet and sold thousand of his notorious outfits this week for charity. Among the articles of clothing was the pink polka-dot suite he wore during his 2001 Grammy performance with rapper Eminem. The suit brought in the asking price if $1,500 plus a donation to an AIDS charity. The sale took place in Manhattan at the Rockefeller Centre and was co-sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue. The money raised by will go to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
