Elton John Has New Plans

Elton John is still working, and working hard. His ongoing touring schedule, his "The Red Piano" engagement in Las Vegas, and his new studio album all keep Elton on his toes.

The new album, which will come out March 20, 2007, is a project that Elton and Bernie Taupin are working on. They are writing a sequel to "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" called "Captain Fantastic and the Kid."

Elton told Billboard that recording will begin in January. He also has a developmental deal with Touchstone Television for a sitcom about a rock star and his entourage. Elton also wrote nine songs last March with Scissor Sisters, marking the first time the star has ever written anything in the same room as someone else.

Elton John will be 60 five days before the release of his new album.
