"Elton John Must Die"

A religious controversy led to the arrest of a man.

A man from Georgia has been arrested by police after posting a YouTube video of himself holding a sign threatening the singer. The sign read, "Elton John must die."

Otis O’Neal Horsley, 65, was frustrated after a recent quote from the singer about Jesus. He said that Jesus was a "super-intelligent gay man."

Horsley responded back with a video of him holding the sign and ranting: “We’re here today to remind Elton John that he has to die…What Elton John has done is desecrated the image of the Lord Jesus Christ, blasphemed the Lord Jesus Christ.”

He also added that he was outside the singer's home. John’s publicist confirmed that the singer has an apartment in Atlanta.

Many Christian groups felt the same way towards John’s comments. They criticize his thoughts and were as equally protective of their religious figures.

YouTube has already removed the video from its site. Horsley’s son believes that his father’s arrest was related to the video.

Horsley was released after a $40,000 bail bond.
