Eminem "Relapses" in Selling Records

Eminem returns to the number one slot with his latest album

Eminem's new album "Relapse" sold 608,000 copies in its first week. It has been four years since his last album was released and his latest project is the number one selling album in the United States.

Eminem's long overdue return to the music world has proved that after five years he is still appreciated and wanted by America. His swift and unique comedic rhyming ability remains beloved among the masses of fans.

Freep.com reports that his debut album, "Slim Shady LP," was the only album that did not hit the top spot. "Relapse" is Eminem's fifth number one album. According to Billboard.com he has topped the Billboard 200 albums chart. The album is also the best debut since AC/DC's "Black Ice" which sold 784,000 copies in 2008.

Entertainment Weekly reports that people weren't going to be sure if he would come back, or even be relevant in 2009. This week, Eminem proved that he is.
