Eminem to release new CD

Eminem Presents: The Re-up to be in stores for holiday season

Eminem is set to make his return to record stores this holiday season with a new album featuring many of the prominent rappers from his Shaddy Records label, according to the Detroit News.

"Eminem Presents: The Re-Up," will hit shelves Dec. 5. The album was originally supposed to be a mix-tape sold on the streets.

"What happened is that the material was so good and the tracks were getting produced like a regular album," Eminem said in a statement released late Monday by his record label, and reported by the News. "Instead of putting it out there rough and unfinished, I thought we should add some other new tracks, make it a real album and put it in the record stores to give these new artists a real boost."

The album will consist of tracks by Stat Quo, Bobby Creekwater and Ca$his, as well as tracks by D12, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Obie Trice, Akon and Em himself, according to the Detroit News.

In other Eminem news, Eminem continued his divorce proceedings with former wife Kim Mathers, Tuesday, but a Macomb County Circuit told reporters after the hearing the case was being referred to a mediator, according to the Associated Press.

A date for the meeting with the mediator has not been set. Mathers and Eminem's attorneys have said they hope the case will be settled amicably. Eminem filed for divorce in April, 82 days after the couple remarried.
