Emma Roberts pushed away Chord Overstreet before calling it quits

Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet have broken up and now reports have surfaced saying that Roberts has been pushing him away for months.

Roberts told the Glee actor that he didn't need to spend New Year's with her and has been belittling him by making fun of his name. The Huffington Post reports that a source said Roberts would make fun of him to his face and she would act like he is dumb.

At the Golden Globes after-party on January 15, Roberts ditched Chords.

"Chord was waiting outside the CAA party at Sunset Tower waiting for Emma to come get him at the door," reports Us Weekly. "Emma does this all the time when she doesn't want to see me," Overstreet was overheard saying.

A source told Just Jared that the two are on different paths of life and because of that, they grew apart.

Us Weekly has reported conflicting sides of the story. One source claimed that Chord was a good boyfriend, while another claimed he was controlling.

On January 26, the two were seen leaving the Chateau Marmont separately.

The pair started dating in April 2011 and have been seen having fun out and about in Disneyland, Malibu beach, and other popular places.

Roberts recently enrolled at Sarah Lawrence College in New York City, but has put her schooling on hold. Friends of Roberts said that Chord played a part in her decision to move back.

Overstreet was recently seen at the 2012 SAG Awards on January 29 and partygoers said that it seemed like he was having a good time.
