The Emmy Awards Best and Worst Dressed
Best Dressed:
Lea Michele shines in a dark navy Oscar De La Renta dress. The tight top shows off her petite frame, fanning out into a mix of ruffles at the bottom that makes her look stunning. Her jewelry accents this outfit perfectly.
Dianna Agron looks absolutely stunning at her first Emmy Awards in a Carolina Herrera dress. It’s a mix of pink and black with what looks like lace with beautiful patterns down the dress and a black ribbon around the center. This is a perfect look for the young star.
Claire Danes looks stunning in an Armani Privé dress that seems to be a mix of sparkles and frills in a white/champagne/cream shade. Though you’d think that she should have gone for a darker color with her fair skin tone, Danes completely rocks this look.
Sofia Vergara looks stunning in a Carolina Herrera number that’s gold and has a slight stripe down the middle. This look totally shows off the figure of the Emmy-nominated actress.
Tina Fey looks great in her Oscar De La Renta dress, largely because of how unique it is. The dress is a mixture of black and gray with beading and patterns decorating the length of the dress. Tina Fey is right on the mark in this choice.
Eva Longoria-Parker looks great in her all black dress by Robert Rodriguez. Though she seems to be playing it a bit safe, the strapless top shows off her small frame before adding a touch of ruffles on the bottom of the dress. Her earrings add a bit of color to this very simple look.
Worst Dressed:
Christina Hendricks is a little off the mark in her light purple Zac Posen dress. The frilly sleeves seem to be a bit too much for the relatively simple dress, and the form doesn’t seem to be quite right for her figure.
Anna Paquin is sending mixed messages in an Alexander McQueen dress. Although I like the simple black bottom, I’m not so much of a fan of the top of the dress, which is gold with a scoop neck and has over-the-top attachments to the shoulders that look a bit like oversized shoulder pads.
Elisabeth Moss hits a bit off the mark in her beige one shoulder dress. The color clashes a bit with her skin tone, and in my opinion, she should have picked a different color. The dress in general isn’t too bad with a frilly strap, but the bottom has way too much material and looks as though she may trip if she tries to walk in it.
January Jones is looking a bit over-the-top in a bright blue Versace gown. The train of the dress is much too long for this look with the front of the dress stopping right around her knees. In addition, the top of this strapless dress is just an awkward fit for the normally fashion forward actress.
Lauren Graham’s dress (designed by Yigal Azrouel) just did not work for her on the red carpet. Perhaps she should have picked either the black or white theme, but the overly baggy white material throws off the look and is just an odd shape for the actress.
