The Time Traveler's Wife star will be going back a few decades in his next movie.
Access Hollywood reported Eric Bana has been cast to play Elvis Presley in Cary Elwes' directorial debut, Elvis and Nixon.
The movie is about Presley's December 21, 1970 visit to the White House where he met then-President Nixon, who is set to be played by Danny Huston.
During the meeting, Presley suggested Nixon appoint him a "Federal Agent-at-Large" in the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. He also brought family photos and presented the president with a Colt 45 pistol.
The Hollywood Reporter added Bana will also serve as the movie's executive producer.
Margin Call's Michael Benaroya and Bobby's Holly Wiersma will produce the film, which was co-written by Elwes and Joey Sagal and Hanala Sagal.
Elwes has also worked on No Strings Attached and Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.
