Eric Dane's Sex Tape Under Scrutiny By LAPD

Eric Dane's sex tape is causing him some trouble with the authority, and it's not because of the sex.

Grey's Anatomy actor Eric Dane is the newest celebrity to act in the sex tape genre, and this time the Los Angeles Police Department is taking a closer look at it because of certain illegal activities.

The tape features Dane, his wife Rebecca Gayheart, and former beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche wandering around a house naked and then lounging in a hot tub. There is no actual sex involved and Dane's lawyer Martin Singer described the video as "a private, consensual moment involving a married couple."

Yet it is not the sex, or lack thereof, that is getting the LAPD's attention. It may be the fact that the three actors appeared to be under the influence of marijuana.

LAPD spokesman Detective Via Nueva told E! News that they are currently examining the "voluminous contents" of the DVD.
