Erykah Badu Adds Dates for a Short Summer Tour
Hip-hop, soul singer Erykah Badu added on new dates to a developing tour to promote her upcoming album. The album is a follow-up to last year's New Amerykah Part One (4th World War).
The 12-day tour starts on May 24 at Westwood, California's 23rd Jazz Reggae Festival at UCLA. Badu is one of the headliners of the festival along with De La Soul, People Under the Stairs, and Leela James. The tour ends on October 16 at the Dallas, Texas Red Bull Soundclash.
Badu will perform in George, Washington for the Sasquatch! Festival. Other headliners for the festival are the Kings of Leon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the Decemberists. Another festival Badu will be performing at is the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
Badu is promoting her upcoming fifth studio album, New Amerykah, Part 2 (Return of the Ankh). Last year, her Part One album reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200, with the single, "Honey."
