Erykah Badu has a passion for Palestinian Hip-Hop

Erykah Badu is in Israel promoting her up-coming concert

Erykah Badu was in Tel Aviv Israel yesterday wearing an Afro wig and T-shirt with an anti-Iraq war slogan. According to Yahoo News, Badu was claiming her identity with Palestinian hip-hop and also expressed her support for Louis Farrakhan before a crowd of Israeli fans and journalists Thursday.

Badu stated: "I come from across the water bringing light and hope." She is also scheduled to perform in Tel Aviv on Saturday night.

Badu approved a poster, in promotion of her show featuring a large hamsa that appears to be growing out of her hair. At the bottom, the words for peace in Hebrew and Arabic appear side by side.

Although the singer couldn't name any Israeli hip-hop artists, she said she best identified with the Palestinians and their hip-hop scene.
