Erykah Badu Welcomes Third Child

Videotaping the birth of your child is so 20th century. Erykah Badu and rapper boyfriend Jay Electronica opted instead to announce each part of the arrival of their baby girl via Twitter, according to popeater.com.

Badu originally kept the Twitter updated, saying things like, "Contractions are 3 min. apart… breathing." Electronica Tweeted, "Labor has begun. Everybody stand back. No hospitals. No doctors. No medicine."

While actually in labor, the Tweeting fell solely to Electronica. According to MTV News, he "even blogged about Badu's water breaking, how far along she was dilated and when she started pushing."

He later wrote, "Feb. 1 2009 my first child, my daughter born at 1:30 PM exactly. It's the happiest day of my life."

This is Badu's third child, and her first with Electronica. Badu's Twitter page reports that they named the baby Twitty Milk. Hopefully this is just a joke, but as her other children are Seven Sirius and Puma Rose, who knows?
