Eva Longoria and Tony Parker facing "a very difficult time"

Some reports indicate the couple may have split up.

The two-year romance between "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria and San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker may be unraveling.

"Eva and Tony are going through a very difficult time right now, just like any other couple with extremely demanding careers," Longoria's rep Liza Anderson said Friday.

But a source close to the couple takes it one step further, saying the pair has called it quits.

"They did break up. It's amicable," the source tells People magazine. "They are talking and trying to figure the best course of action for their future. They are trying to work things out. It's distance and demanding careers and not living in same city. It didn't happen yesterday. It's been going on for a while."

A source close to Parker says the star point guard denies the rumors.

Longoria and Parker began dating in 2004. Despite a seven-year age difference, the older Longoria told People last year both of them are happiest when in a relationship.
