Evan Rachel Wood and Alan Cumming Coming to Broadway

The actors are set to appear in the new Spider-Man musical.

Evan Rachel Wood and Alan Cumming have officially joined the cast of "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," the upcoming Broadway musical, MTV News reports.

The show, based on the popular comic book and movie series, will be directed by Tony award-winner Julie Taymor and feature music by U2's Bono and The Edge.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Wood will play Mary Jane Watson, Peter Parker's love interest, and Cumming will play Norm Osborn, Spider-Man's enemy, better known as the Green Goblin.

The role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man has not yet been announced, but the casting process is underway.

Both Wood and Cumming have worked with director Taymor before, RollingStone.com reports—Wood in "Across the Universe" and Cumming in two Taymor directed film projects, including Taymor's upcoming film, "The Tempest."

"Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" is set to begin previews Feb. 25, 2010 at the Hilton Theatre. American Express cardholders can reserve tickets now via Ticketmaster, while the general public onsale starts September 12.
