Evan Rachel Wood, who starred in the Academy Award nominated drama "The Wrestler" will next be starring in a historical drama produced by Academy Award winning director Robert Redford.

Actress Evan Rachel Wood's next project is to star in "Conspirator," a film that will be directed by Robert Redford.

According to an article on HollywoodReporter.com, "Wood joins James McAvoy, Robin Wright Penn and Justin Long in the historical drama about a Confederate sympathizer who was tried as a conspirator in the Lincoln assassination and the man who defended her before a military tribunal."

Shooting for "Conspirator" will begin in Georgia this month.

Redford is sharing the producing duties with Wildwood's Greg Shapiro and Bill Holderman and American Film Co.'s Robert Stone, Webster Stone and Brian Falk.

Wood recently starred in the Academy Award nominated drama "The Wrestler."

Meanwhile, Redford's last producing gig was the 2007 Tom Cruise/Meryl Streep war drama "Lions for Lambs." He also produced the 2000 Will Smith/Matt Damon fantasy sports film "The Legend of Baggar Vance" as well as the 1998 romantic drama "The Horse Whisperer," in which he also starred opposite Kristen Scott Thomas.

As for Wood's co-stars, McAvoy most recently starred in the much heralded 2008 Morgan Freeman/Angelina Jolie thriller "Wanted," Penn can be seen starring opposite Russell Crowe/Ben Affleck/Rachel McAdams/Helen Mirren in the 2009 thriller "State of Play" and Long's credits include 1999's "Galaxy Quest," opposite Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver, the 2005 Lindsay Lohan/Michael Keaton family comedy "Herbie Fully Loaded," the 2007 fourth installment in the popular "Die Hard" franchise "Live Free or Die Hard" opposite Bruce Willis, the 2009 romantic comedy "He's Just Not That Into You" and Long most recently starred opposite Adam Sandler in the 2009 dramedy "Funny People."
