Everything We Hoped It Would Be: DeGeneres and de Rossi

Just days after her wedding to Portia de Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres opens up about wedded bliss.

DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, tied the knot Saturday. Their wedding was the biggest celebrity union since California legalized same-sex marriage, according to Fox News.com.

DeGeneres told People Magazine, "What can I say? I'm the luckiest girl in the world. She's officially off the market. No one else gets her. And now she'll cook and clean for me."

On the Web site of her syndicated TV show, DeGeneres wrote, "I had a big weekend. I got married to Portia de Rossi! Sorry, John Stamos . . . this one's taken."

The wedding ceremony was held at DeGeneres and de Rossi's home in Los Angeles. According to People Online, DeGeneres also wrote on her Web site, "The wedding was everything we hoped it would be. I wish I could've invited all of you. But I have some pictures and video I can show you when Season 6 starts on September 8. I can't wait to see them too . . . it was all a blur."

"It feels different," DeGeneres told People. "I was already planning on spending the rest of my life with her. But until you're married, you just don't know. It feels wonderful."
