Expectant Mother Ali Larter Inadvertently Reveals Gender of Her Baby

The former ‘Heroes’ actress let the cat out of the bag while promoting her upcoming film

During an exclusive interview with Fox News to promote her upcoming film Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D, actress and expectant mother Ali Larter accidentally revealed the gender of her baby. When she was asked whether she believes her child will grow to enjoy playing video games, she said, “Possible gamer? Well, after watching these movies and hearing all the gunfire I don’t know what he’s – it’s – going to turn out like.”

Larter, 34, is six months pregnant and there has been rampant speculation in regards to the sex of her baby throughout the past several weeks. The constant rumors and conjecture will surely be put to rest thanks to Larter’s inadvertent slip of the tongue.

She transitioned smoothly from her lapsus linguae to discuss her experiences as an expectant mother, telling Fox411.com, “I’m just super pregnant and each moment I want to take off another piece of clothing.”

The baby boy will be the first child for both the actress and her husband, actor Hayes MacArthur. The celebrity couple became engaged in December 2007 and tied the knot last August in Kennebunkport, Maine.

At the time of their engagement, Larter told Cosmopolitan, “I told [him] after three weeks that I wanted to marry him and that we could do it tomorrow. I look forward to that time when I’m home with babies.”

Larter, best known for her portrayal of Niki Sanders in NBC’s science fiction fantasy series Heroes, co-stars alongside Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D. The film opens in 3D and IMAX 3-D theaters September 10.
